Donald Thomas Adams, son of Hiram Thomas Adams and Nora Lee Bradshaw, was born April 14, 1926. He served in WW II from 1945-1947. He married his wife Ann in 1951. They had four children, Robin, Donald Jr., Jennifer and Carol. Don was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for the 60 years serving as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He retired from Watkins Nurseries at age 84 after 35 years. He was a past president of the Virginia Nurseryman's Association and worked in the nursery business for nearly 60 years.
